AZUSA, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific University announced the first 12 members of the 2012 Cougar football recruiting class throughout the day on Wednesday, Feb. 1, which is college football's national signing day. News of the commitments and brief biographical information are posted below.

Azusa Pacific opens the 2012 season, its first year as a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, with a Sept. 1 visit to UC Davis, which competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. The Cougars have a 10-game conference schedule, which runs 10 consecutive weeks beginning Sept. 8 at defending GNAC champion Humboldt State.

As of 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, the first day of the NCAA signing period, Azusa Pacific received 12 commitments from recruits.
