2003 Gridiron Schedule Set

Thu., Apr. 10, 2003
AZUSA, Calif. -- The 2003 Azusa Pacific football schedule is set for the coming fall.

The Cougars, who are coming off a 9-1 season and were ranked No. 16 in the final 2002 NAIA Coaches Poll, returns to a 9-game slate for this year with 4 intriguing road trips.

Azusa Pacific's closest road game this season will be its season-opener, a 2-hour drive to take on University of San Diego at Torero Stadium, Saturday, Sept. 6. It marks the sixth straight season the 2 programs have opened against each other.

The Cougars then pack their bags for trips to Billings, Mont., to visit Rocky Mountain, and Arcata, Calif., for its bi-annual visit to Humboldt State.

The Cougars then close out their road tour with what could be a very chilling reception when they visit St. Peter, Minn., the first weekend of November to take on Gustavus Alophus.

At home in the Canyon City, Azusa Pacific will entertain Pacific Lutheran, Cal Lutheran, Southern Oregon, La Verne and Chapman.
