AZUSA, CALIF. – For the fourth time in the past 5 years, Azusa Pacific opens a new campaign as a ranked team in the NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.
The Cougars, who were 9-1 last year and finished the 2002 season ranked No. 16 in the final poll, open this season ranked No. 12 in the 2003 NAIA Preseason Poll, receiving 205 points from the 16-member rating committee.

Rounding out the top 5 are McKendree College (Ill.) at No. 4, and Azusa Pacific rival Southern Oregon at No. 5. The Red Raiders visit the Canyon City on Oct. 18 for their annual meeting with the Cougars.
