AZUSA, Calif. -- The Azusa Pacific soccer program is accepting registrations for a month-long schedule of 2008 summer camps, with 4 separate week-long camps targeted to various age and skill groups.

All camps will be held at the Cougar Soccer Complex on the Azusa Pacific University campus, home to the 2007 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Champion Cougars, as well as the 2-time defending NAIA runner-up Cougar women’s soccer program.

The action kicks off with a youth camp targeted towards boys and girls ages 5-14, scheduled for July 7-10, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. each evening. Registration is $115 for the youth camp, and sibling and early registration discounts are available.

The next 2 camps are residential programs specifically designed to prepare girls’ and boys’ club teams from U12-U19 for their upcoming seasons while improving the individual quality of each player. Camp directors are Azusa Pacific men’s soccer head coach Phil Wolf, the 2007 NAIA Coach of the Year, and Cougar women’s soccer head coach and 6-time GSAC Coach of the Year Jason Surrell.

The Girls’ Residential Team Camp takes place from July 14-17, 2008, while the Boys’ Residential Team Camp follows the week after from July 21-24, 2008. Camp fees for both are $375 per player.

Club and college coaches from Southern California will direct the players in a high-level environment designed to give players a taste of the next stage of competition. The High School Elite Residential camp runs from July 28-31, 2008, and camp fees are $325.
