The Golden State Athletic Conference has announced its 2011 all-conference team, and Azusa Pacific has five honorees. The Cougars had each position represented as forwards Carlos Garcia-Partida, and Oktay Bulut, midfielder Trenton Titus, defender Lucas Young, and keeper Joe Geletko all were listed.

OKTAY BULUT: Entering the season there many questions about where the Cougars’ scoring would come from. Bulut answered the call, registering eight goals and five assists for a team-high 21 points. The sophomore from Germany was a perfect 3-3 in penalty kicks, and put over half of his shots (.511 percent) on frame.

CARLOS GARCIA-PARTIDA: When Azusa Pacific needed a goal, Garcia-Partida stepped up. The freshman forward scored five game-winners in his collegiate debut. He combined for 15 points (six goals, three assists) to finish second on the team in both categories.

JOE GELETKO: The junior keeper played every single minute between the posts for Azusa Pacific this year. He recorded nine shutouts on 63 saves, while stringing together 407 consecutive scoreless minutes in the middle of the season. Geletko also came through in the clutch as he stopped two PK’s during a shootout against Hope International in the first round of the GSAC Tournament.

TRENTON TITUS: Titus finished the season tied for the team-lead in assists (5) and scored the game-tying goal against Concordia on October 25. The junior also notched a three-assist match when the Cougars beat St. Xavier (Ill.) 5-0 at Wheaton (Ill.).

LUCAS YOUNG: The 6-4 senior from Illinois helped the Cougars to record nine shutouts. On top of his defensive prowess, Young was a consistent threat to score when he came up on corners, and headed in the game-winner in the 82nd minute against Westmont.
