THIS YEAR: Senior Tiffany Makinster is one of Azusa Pacific's most experienced defenders, entering her third season as a starting center back ... Covers a lot of ground and is an intelligent defender.
2008 (Junior): Started all 22 games, running her streak of consecutive games started to 43 ... Helped lead the defense to 14 shutouts, along with 4 more games allowing just a single goal ... Held together a defense that posted 9 shutouts in 12 games at home that helped the Cougars run their program-record home winning streak to 29 games.
2007 (Sophomore): Started 21 of 23 games for another in a long line of great Azusa Pacific defenses ... Anchored a central defense that posted a season goals against average of 0.60 and allowed only 3 scores in a perfect 10-0 GSAC championship campaign ... Helped the Cougars post 8 of their 12 shutouts in GSAC play, including 5 straight and 496 consecutive scoreless minutes to finish the regular season.
2006 (Freshman): Played in 8 games, all in reserve, including a pair of NAIA postseason contests ... Took 1 shot in a 4-0 win over Fresno Pacific.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 4-year varsity starter for head coach Jolene Keel at Valley Christian High in San Jose ... Twice named team defensive MVP ... As a 2006 senior, led a Warrior defense that shut out all 4 of its opponents en route to the CIF Central Coast Section championship ... A 2-time All-West Catholic Athletic League first team selection ... Played 3 seasons alongside Cougar sophomore Lauren Vroom.
