THIS YEAR: Sophomore transfer Katie Rorabaugh will jump right into Azusa Pacific’s central defense following the graduation of a pair of 2-year starters there, including 2006 GSAC Player of the Year Julie Fletcher … Reads the game exceptionally well and maintains good composure … Has the potential to be a strong leader.
SACRAMENTO STATE (Freshman): Was the Hornets’ starting left back, playing in 20 of the team’s 21 games … Her only assist of the season was a pass out of the back that led to a breakaway golden goal in a 2-1 overtime win over Northern Colorado.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 4 varsity seasons at Walnut (Calif.) High for head coach Lorraine Hansen … As a 2006 senior, was named CIF Defensive Player of the Year and earned her fourth All-San Antonio League first team honor … Was a 3-time All-CIF first team pick in addition to All-CIF second team honors as a 2004 sophomore … Helped lead the Mustangs to 4 straight undefeated league titles and 3 straight CIF championships from 2003-05.
