AZUSA, Calif.-- The Azusa Pacific women’s soccer team received an at-large berth to the National Christian College Athletics Association national championships. The Cougars, who won the 2013 Pacific West Conference championship before falling 2-0 to Point Loma in the NCCAA West Region final, will be the No. 5 seed when the tournament kicks off on Dec. 2 in Kissimmee, Fla.

Azusa Pacific will be joined by fellow PacWest opponent Point Loma, which clinched the region’s automatic bid with a win over the Cougars on Wednesday night.

The nine-team tournament will feature three pools consisting of three teams each, with the winner of each pool, plus one wild card, advancing to the national semifinals. The final tournament schedule and seedings will be announced later this week.
