  • Quick-Working CougarsNov. 17, 2005 | Top-ranked Azusa Pacific made quick work of Indiana Wesleyan in its first game at the 2005 NAIA Championship Tournament, downing the Wildcats, 3-0, after scoring 2 goals in the first 20 minutes of play.
  • On to Nationals ... AgainNov. 10, 2005 | Azusa Pacific is making its eighth straight NAIA Championship Tournament appearance and will open play Thursday, Nov. 17, against either Indiana Wesleyan or Park in the 20-team tournament field at Olathe, Kan.
  • No Illusions For ChampsNov. 8, 2005 | The NAIA's No. 1-ranked Azusa Pacific beat No. 10-ranked Point Loma Nazarene, 1-0, to claim its second consecutive Region II championship this afternoon at the Azusa Square.
  • Cougars Are Region FinalistsNov. 4, 2005 | Bridget Brotherton and the NAIA's No. 1-ranked Azusa Pacific advanced to the Region II championship game by defeating California Baptist, 3-1, in penalty kicks.
  • Nitta Leads CougarsNov. 1, 2005 | All-GSAC midfielder Jolie Nitta scored a goal and assisted on another as the No. 1-ranked Azusa Pacific beat Concordia, 2-0, in the opening round of the Region II playoffs this afternoon at Azusa Square.
  • Once Again ChampionsOct. 27, 2005 | After finishing second for the past 2 seasons the NAIA's No. 1-ranked Azusa Pacific polished off an unbeaten regular season with a 1-0 win over Concordia to claim the GSAC championship.
  • Cougars Alone at the TopOct. 25, 2005 | The NAIA's No. 1-ranked Azusa Pacific blanked Fresno Pacific, 3-0, and in the process moved into sole possession of first place. It was the fourth consecutive shutout for the Cougars.
  • Coe Rescues CougarsOct. 22, 2005 | With precious little time remaining, Shannon Coe scored in double overtime lifting the NAIA's No. 1-ranked Azusa Pacific over San Diego Christian, 1-0, in double overtime.
