• Cougars Golden AgainOct. 7, 2006 | Sophomore Karen Lawrence's 30-yard free kick just over 6 minutes into overtime gave the NAIA's No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific the "golden goal" it needed to defeat No. 25-ranked Vanguard, 1-0, Saturday afternoon in Azusa.
• Long Ball Late Seals Lancers' FateOct. 4, 2006 | Senior Julie Fletcher played long clearances over the top that resulted in a pair of second-half goals, including sophomore Bridget Brotherton's game-winner with less than 4 minutes to play in regulation, giving the NAIA's No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific a 2-1 road win over No. 9-ranked California Baptist.
• Westmont's Late Goal Stuns CougarsSep. 30, 2006 | Brianna Russo's goal with just 39 seconds left in regulation lifted the NAIA's No. 8-ranked Westmont to a stunning upset of No. 2 Azusa Pacific, which had controlled play throughout much of the game.
• Killer Bees Beat BiolaSep. 26, 2006 | Bridget Brotherton and Theresa Broad scored 2 goals apiece to lead the NAIA's No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific to its first win over Biola in 4 years with a convincing 5-0 decision.

• Nitta's Golden Goal Lifts Cougars In OTSep. 22, 2006 | Senior Jolie Nitta scored with less than 4 minutes remaining in the final overtime, lifting the NAIA's No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific to a 3-2 road victory over No. 6-ranked Lee (Tenn.) at the Lady Flames Classic in Cleveland, Tenn.
• Cougars Pass The TestSep. 16, 2006 | Sophomore Bridget Brotherton scored 2 goals to lead the NAIA's No. 4-ranked Azusa Pacific to a 2-0 victory over No. 9-ranked Carroll (Mont.), the Cougars' first contest against an NAIA-ranked opponent.
• Surrell Speeds To 100 WinsSep. 15, 2006 | Azusa Pacific head coach Jason Surrell earned his 100th career coaching win in his 127th game as Cougar head coach, becoming the second-fastest coach in NAIA history to reach the milestone. The NAIA's No. 4-ranked Cougars scored pairs of goals in the first 20 minutes of each half and cruised to a 4-1 nonconference victory over San Diego Christian.
• San Diego Soccer SweepSep. 2, 2006 | The NAIA's No. 5-ranked Azusa Pacific registered its second shutout in as many days, and a 38-2 shots advantage allowed the Cougars to cruise to a 4-0 victory over Hastings (Neb.) heading into a nearly 2-week layoff from game action.
