THIS YEAR: One of 3 junior pitchers on the Cougar roster, Bre Anderson displayed noted improvement in the pitcher's circle during fall workouts and could see more significant time as hurler this year ... Has increased the velocity on her pitches and thus has a better break on her offerings ... Figures to open the season out of the bullpen but could develop into an occasional No. 2 starter for the Cougars ... Has a good bat and will press for key action as a designated player.

2008: Appeared in just 15 of the Cougars' 47 games, 13 as a designated player ... Started 9 ... Batted .259 in her limited duties ... Made 3 appearances in the pitcher's circle, working just 1.1 inning ... Best showing came in a loss to nationally-ranked Lee University (Tenn.) in which she went 2-for-2.

2007: As a 2007 freshman appeared in 32 of the Cougars' 39 games, including 14 as a pitcher ... Batted .280 with 3 doubles and 10 RBIs ... Best showing came in the Cougars' 7-1 win over Chico State in which she went 4-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs ... Was also 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs in a win over Dakota Wesleyan ... In the next game went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs in a win over Dominican ... Batted .515 (17-for-33) in games Azusa Pacific won ... In the circle was 1-2 in 33.2 innings of work ... Best outing came in the season-finale against nationally-ranked Concordia, in which she worked 6 innings and surrendering just 1 run in a no-decision ... Lone win came in a complete-game effort against Cal State San Marcos.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played 3 seasons of varsity softball at Dana Hills High in Dana Point, Calif. ... Her travel ball experience consisted of stints with USA Athletics and Storm USA.
