Has sharpened her defensive skills, in particular her ability to track balls, read angles, and make throws ... Has good speed ... Has an unusual knack for getting her bat on the ball and can beat out many infield grounders ... Offensive consistency will be key in her playing opportunities.
2008: Played in 25 of the Cougars' 47 games during her 2008 junior season ... Was 1 of 4 Cougars to bat over .300 for the season, finishing the campaign at a .303 clip ...Went 3-for-4 with 3 runs and a double in a doubleheader sweep of GSAC rival Hope International ... Had 2 RBIs in a 5-2 victory over Concordia ... Made plate appearances in 15 games and was used as a pinch runner in the other 10 games.
2007: Appeared in 25 of the Cougars' 40 games, starting 19, including some at third base ... Had 14 hits in 53 at-bats (.264) and stole 3 bases ... Put together an early season 5-game hitting streak in which she went 8-for-16 with a couple of RBIs and a double ... In a victory over Madonna University (Mich.) at the Tucson Invitational went 2-for-5 with a double, a run and a stolen base.
2006: Appeared in 31 games as 2006 freshman, starting 2, a doubleheader against nationally-ranked Cal Baptist ... Collected her first collegiate hit, a single, in a 6-1 victory over Hope International ... Used primarily as a pinch-runner, scoring 6 times.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played 2 seasons of varsity softball for head coach Mike Smith at Chino Hills (Calif.) High ... Earned All-Sierra League second team recognition as a 2004 junior and as a senior was a key member of the Huskies' unseeded 2005 CIF championship team that won its final 16 games to finish 23-7 in only its second season of varsity play ... Also earned 3 varsity letters in basketball and ran 4 seasons of cross country.
