THIS YEAR: An energetic and hardworking player, freshman Nicole Llorens returns to softball after a year layoff … Will press for a starting berth in the Cougar outfield … Discovered in a recreation class on campus during the 2007 fall.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 2-sport standout at Western Christian High in Covina, Calif., from where she graduated in June of 2006 … As a senior, named Co-Lancer Female Athlete of the Year, sharing the honor with current Cougar soccer All-American Theresa Broad … In softball, earned 4 varsity letters and helped lead the Lancers to the 2005 CIF semifinals … Was a 2-time All-Christian League selection in basketball and was named team MVP as a senior.
