HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 2-sport standout at San Ramon Valley High in Danville, Calif. … Was a 4-time All-East Bay Athletic League honoree, earning second team honors as a 2004 freshman and 2006 junior and first team honors as a 2007 senior … Named team MVP as a senior when she led the Wolves to a 17-8 record … Also played 2 seasons of varsity volleyball for San Ramon Valley … Played travel ball of the Valley Stompers during the 2007 summer.

PERSONAL: Born Rebekah Cherie Weisser, April 2, 1989, in San Diego, Calif. … Parents are Rick (pediatrician) and Kerry Weisser … Has 3 older sisters (Rachel, who competed in crew and lacrosse at UC San Diego, Jessica, and Bethany, current senior on the Cougar softball team) … majoring in psychology … Enjoys photography and making clothes … Traveled with Competitive Edge International playing softball in East Asia.
