AZUSA, Calif. -- The Azusa Pacific softball program has postponed its summer youth camp on Saturday, May 31, to a future date to be determined. The Cougars will also host a softball I.D. camp on Sunday, June 8. The June 8 I.D. camp will take place at the Citrus College softball field, which is located at 1000 W. Foothill Blvd., Glendora, CA 91741. The summer youth camp will take place at the Azusa Pacific softball field, which is located at 701 East Foothill Blvd., Azusa, CA 91702.
The I.D. camps are available to any high school softball players interested in improving skills and gaining collegiate instruction from the Azusa Pacific coaching staff. The first I.D. camp (May 10) will be split into two sessions. The first, which is for 2014 and 2015 high school graduates, will take place from 4-6 p.m., with a separate session for 2016 and 2017 high school graduates taking place from 7-9 p.m. The June 8 I.D. camp is open to any age of high school softball players, and it will take place from 4-8 p.m.
The softball youth camp contains two sessions of instruction. The first session is from 9-11 a.m. and focuses on defense and pitching. The afternoon session (12-2 p.m.) is hitting-focused, with a lunch break from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
