AZUSA, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific is the No. 3 seed at the 2014 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Softball Championship, which features 10 teams in a double-elimination tournament May 15-17 at the Botetourt Sports Complex in Botetourt County, Virginia.
The Cougars bring a 39-17 record into their tournament opener, which is a 2:30 p.m. (Eastern) matchup against the defending NCCAA champion, No. 6-seeded Union (Tenn.) University. Union is 28-25 entering the tournament after claiming its second consecutive NCCAA MidEast Region Title earlier this week.
The winner of Thursday’s game moves on in the winner’s bracket on Friday, May 16, while the losing team plays an elimination game later Thursday night.
