AZUSA PACIFIC VIDEO STREAMING PORTAL

AZUSA, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific will provide full-season video streaming services for several sports during the 2012-13 season, partnering with Stretch Internet to provide exclusive live coverage of Cougar Athletics events. All home games for Azusa Pacific football, volleyball, soccer (men’s and women’s), and basketball (men’s and women’s) will be provided using single-game pay-per-view and season subscription packages, as well as home events for Cougar acrobatics & tumbling and track & field teams. Additional sports may be added throughout the year as facility requirements for video streaming are met, and the first scheduled broadcasts are of this weekend’s men’s and women’s soccer doubleheader between Azusa Pacific and Biola in the first games under the brand-new lights at the Cougar Soccer Complex. In addition, Azusa Pacific and Stretch have partnered to provide a free broadcast of the Cougars’ first-ever Pacific West Conference event in any sport, when the Cougar volleyball team hosts California Baptist University on Tuesday, Sept. 11. Pricing has been set at $7.95 per game, with full-season subscriptions priced at $29.95 for football, $59.95 for volleyball, $39.95 for women’s soccer, $44.95 for men’s soccer, $49.95 for men’s basketball, and $49.95 for women’s basketball. Pricing for other sports and events is yet to be determined. In previous years, Azusa Pacific has provided a live video stream for a few selected contests throughout the year, and the Cougars partnered with Stretch for selected national playoff events hosted in Azusa last year. Live video streaming was offered for Azusa Pacific’s first-round football playoff game, as well as the entire NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round tournament hosted by Azusa Pacific last May. “Video streaming is a great way to keep our parents, alumni, and fans connected with Cougar Athletics throughout the year,” Director of Athletics Gary Pine said. “After working with Stretch for our playoff broadcasts last year, we’re excited to expand our partnership with Stretch to provide a full season of video streaming offerings this year.” In addition to live video streaming, the partnership with Stretch also provides a user-friendly live stats interface which will be integrated with the live video streaming broadcasts from Azusa Pacific’s easy-to-use web streaming portal.
