| Q: | What was the most thrilling moment in your 4 years playing at Azusa Pacific? |
| A: | My sophomore year (2006) playing Biola here at home. We rallied from 2 down and took them to 5. Kelsey Kundson got the last block and we won. The crowd rushed the court and got picked up coach (Chris Keife) on their shoulders. That was the most fired up that I have ever been, and it was the most fun that I experienced. |
| Q: | How do you see APU now as compared to how you saw it 4 years ago? |
| A: | I didn’t know what APU was about when I committed. I committed late but it seemed like a good school though I didn’t know much about it. I didn’t have any expectations, and didn’t even really think I’d play. Now looking back, I think "Wow, I accomplished a lot."
I think APU is a great school and I’ve been blessed to be on the volleyball team. I know my fellow seniors on this team will be lifelong friends of mine APU is a lot different from my catholic high school, Mater Dei. I got a different perspective at APU about being around a group of Christian people. Here at APU it is totally different way of worship than the traditional Catholic environment. It has opened my mind to a lot of different ways to practice my Christian faith. I can’t imagine being on a volleyball team that didn’t have God first as a foundation. I can’t imagine going to that (NCAA) DI school that everybody strives for out of high school and then not having that foundation of God first. That would really be hard on me. |
| Q: | What do you prefer, beach or indoor volleyball? |
| A: | Sand. I’d rather play on a beach any day. I like playing 2-man volleyball. On the sand, it’s not so much about technique but rather if you’re scrappy and get the ball up. Plus, you get to wear your bathing suit, work on your tan. It doesn’t get much better than that. |
