Michael-David Morales (also non as Mo), a 2000 graduate of Azusa Pacific, is entering his first season as an assistant at his alma mater. Morales brings knowledge, leadership, experience, and a mentor-teacher approach to the program.

He began his coaching career as an assistant at Chaffey College in 2007, before heading the JV program at Alta Loma High School in December of 2009. In January of 2011 he took the reins of the Rancho Cucamonga High School swimming program. On top of coaching Morales is heavily involved in ministry.

He's been a U.S. Army Chaplain in Riverside since April, 2008, and has served over eight years as a reverend with the Evangelical Church Alliance, based out of Long Beach. He has also given his time as a chaplain to patients in need at Methodist Hospital in Arcadia and is the part of the pastoral teaching staff at New Life Ministries in Oxnard.

Morales, who earned his bachelor's in Christian Ministry, received his Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2003. He is currently working on his doctorate in management/organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix.
