AZUSA, Calif.-- Azusa Pacific is one of four host sites for the Southern California ITA Summer Circuit, which will be held at the Munson & Bavougian Tennis Complex and Citrus College from July 20-22. The ITA summer circuit consists of eight regions (East, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Central, Mountain, Texas and West), which each hold four consecutive weekend tournaments, leading up to the USTA/ITA National Summer Championships in Bloomington, Indiana in August.

The entry fee for the Summer Circuit tournament at Azusa Pacific is $60 (includes singles and doubles). Any player who competes in at least three tournaments and is the point leader for that Region will automatically qualify for the national championships. Last year Jochem Hoefnagels earned the automatic bid from the West region, and went on to the national championships in Mobile, Ala., where he took home fifth place.

Laguna Niguel and the University of La Verne will host the first and second stops respectively, beginning on July 5, while Cal State L.A. will be the home for the final summer tournament in Southern California on July 27-29.

The deadline to register for the Summer Circuit in Azusa is July 18 at noon.
