SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The NAIA’s No. 1-ranked Azusa Pacific flexed its top ranked muscle and swept through singles play to get a convincing 8-1 GSAC win at No. 9 Point Loma Nazarene Saturday.

With the win, the Cougars improve to 7-1 overall, 4-0 GSAC. It is their seventh straight win since dropping their season-opener to NCAA Division I UCLA. Point Loma falls to 4-4, 1-3.

The Sea Lions got their lone point at No. 3 doubles, but the rest of the day belonged to the Cougars, who cruised past the Sea Lions for the second time this season. The Cougars won all 6 singles’ matches in straight sets.
