AZUSA, Calif. -- As the nation’s top-ranked team, Azusa Pacific was looking to start the season on a roll. It appears safe to say that it has accomplished that feat heading into another showdown with No. 10-ranked Fresno Pacific.

The Cougars dropped only a total of 16 games in the entire match as they downed Westmont, 9-0. With the win, Azusa Pacific improved to 10-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

The afternoon got underway with dominant performances in doubles play. The team of Patrick Kur and David Goodman breezed to an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles. Cole Billings and Art Fatkiev did not drop a game either on their way to an 8-0 win.

Azusa Pacific got great play from everyone in singles action as all 6 players posted straight set victories.
