  • Comeback Highlights Win Over No. 3 StagsFeb. 16, 2007 | Patrick Kur and Mathias Weber came back from a 7-2 deficit to win a 9-8 doubles duel to spark a 6-3 win over NCAA Div. III No. 3-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Friday afternoon at Citrus College, lifting the NAIA's No. 2-ranked Cougars to a 5-1 record heading into Saturday's GSAC opener at California Baptist.
  • Cougars Dominant AgainFeb. 10, 2007 | It had been 21 months between non-conference sweeps for Azusa Pacific men’s tennis before Thursday’s 9-0 win over Chapman, but the NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Cougars needed just 48 hours to post another after shutting out NCAA Div. III No. 9-ranked Redlands, 9-0, in a dual match Saturday afternoon at Citrus College.
  • Cougars Serve Up A SweepFeb. 8, 2007 | The NAIA’s No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific bounced back from its first defeat of the season to shut out visiting Chapman Thursday afternoon, 9-0, the Cougars’ first out of conference or NAIA Tournament play since a 9-0 win over Alliant International on April 16, 2005.
  • Narrow Defeat For Cougar MenFeb. 3, 2007 | After dropping all 3 doubles matches to UC San Diego, the Azusa Pacific men's tennis team came back to win 4 singles points, and Patrick Kur had worked to match point at No. 2 singles before UC San Diego's Bijan Moallemi completed the 3-set comeback to seal a 5-4 defeat for the Cougars in San Diego.
  • Home Opener Almost A Sweeping SuccessFeb. 2, 2007 | The defending NAIA runner-up Azusa Pacific men's tennis team put together a near-sweep over Occidental in an 8-1 win in the Cougars' home opener Friday afternoon. Art Fatkhiev's 6-0, 6-0 singles win helped spark the Cougars to the win.
  • Living The High LifeJan. 27, 2007 | Sophomore Patrick Kur won both his singles and doubles matches this afternoon against UC Riverside, leading the defending NAIA runner-up Azusa Pacific men's tennis team to a 5-2 win over the NCAA Div. I Highlanders Saturday afternoon.
  • Bohren Honored At National ConventionDec. 17, 2006 | Azusa Pacific men’s and women’s tennis coach Mark Bohren received his 2006 Wilson/ITA NAIA Men’s Coach of the Year award Friday night at the ITA Coaches Convention at the luxurious Doral Golf Resort & Spa for his work in building the Azusa Pacific men’s tennis program into a national powerhouse. The award was Bohren’s third Wilson/ITA Coach of the Year honor in the past 4 seasons.
