GLENDORA, Calif. -- The NAIA’s No. 3-ranked Azusa Pacific posted its 10th straight victory, and its second consecutive shutout, with a 9-0 non-conference win over Colby (Maine) Tuesday afternoon at Citrus College.
Lindsey Cloninger and Katy Jelsma combined for their second straight 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles, and the tandem has won 3 straight doubles matches by a combined 24-1 tally. Cloninger also posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles, her ninth win in as many matches of singles play this season.
With the win, Azusa Pacific improves to 13-1 on the season, while Colby drops to 0-3. The Cougars host Grand Canyon (Ariz.) on Friday, March 30 at 2:30 p.m., before hosting No. 5-ranked Vanguard in a GSAC clash Saturday at 10 a.m. at Citrus College.
