AZUSA, Calif. -- Azusa Pacific, ranked No. 17 in the NAIA, won 2-of-3 doubles then split the 6 singles’ matches in half to post a 6-3 non-conference win over Alliant International.

It is the Cougars’ third straight non-conference win.

Brianne Hahn and Mayu Sato defeated Stepanka Folsentova and Michelle Hart at No. 2 doubles and Andrea Yorkey and Marilyn Wise picked up a point by default at No. 3 to give the Cougars a 2-1 lead. Hahn (No. 4), Wise (No. 5) and Yorkey (No. 6) then earned the necessary 3 points in singles play to give the Cougars the win.

With the win, Azusa Pacific improves to 11-9 overall.
