WAIPAHU, Hawaii -- NCAA Division I Hawaii swept all 3 doubles matches then cruised through singles play to snap a 6-match losing skid with an 8-1 win over the NAIA’s No. 6-ranked Azusa Pacific in a non-conference match Monday.

With the setback, the Cougars fall to 16-4 overall and have their 4-match win streak snapped. Hawaii improves to 8-11 overall.

Christina Earnest picked up the Cougars’ lone point at No. 4 singles when Paige Mainor retired in the second set. Earnest won the first set 7-5.
