AZUSA, Calif. -- The NAIA’s No. 6-ranked Azusa Pacific concluded its regular-season match-play schedule with an 8-1 win over fellow NAIA Region II member Alliant International Tuesday in Azusa.

With the win, Azusa Pacific improves to 18-6 overall, the best regular-season mark in program history. Alliant International drops to 3-11.

The Cougars cruised through doubles play sweeping all 3 points. Then in singles, they won 5 of 6 matches with Alliant International picking up its lone point at No. 3 singles.

Up next for the Cougars in the prestigious Ojai Valley Tournament this weekend. The Cougars then prepare for the NAIA Region II Tournament which gets underway May 6 in Santa Barbara.
