AZUSA, Calif -- The NAIA’s No. 4-ranked Azusa Pacific swept through doubles’ play and then cruised through singles, winning all 6 matches in straight sets to post a 9-0 GSAC win over California Baptist Monday in Azusa.
The match was a make-up after the original match was rained out Feb. 12.
With the win, Azusa Pacific improves to 18-6 overall, 11-2 GSAC. It is the Cougars’ fourth straight win. California Baptist drops to 8-11, 5-9.
The Cougars were never tested. Jennifer Dao at No. 1 and Bay Daniels at No. 3 both rolled to 6-0, 6-0 wins as the Cougars surrendered just 13 points in all 9 doubles’ and singles’ matches combined.
