Taking Out Frustrations

Thu., Mar. 23, 2006

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -- Coming off a disappointing loss to Vanguard on Monday, Azusa Pacific looked to turn the page 24 hours later.

The Cougars did exactly that as they took their frustrations out on The Master’s, winning 9-0 over it for the second time this season.

As it did the first time these teams met, Azusa Pacific shuffled its line-up and featured quality depth that has made it one of the strongest teams in the conference. The Cougars needed the win to get back on track and they responded by putting together one of their finest matches of the season.

As a team, the Cougars dropped only 16 games in the 9 matches. Out of the 6 singles matches in only 2 did the Mustangs win more than 1 game.

Azusa Pacific improves to 9-3 with the win and bumps their GSAC mark up to 7-3. Next up for the Cougars is Biola, on Thursday.
