HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in track & field for 3 seasons for head coach Jeff Herron at Lees Summit (Mo.) West High Was a 2-time all-section, and 3-time all-district and all-conference honoree Opened his prep career with a freshman-season best vault of 10 6, moving to 12 6 as a sophomore, and 13 6 as a junior before setting a personal best vault of 14 6 during his 2007 senior season Also lettered 1 season in football (receiver)
