THIS YEAR: A veteran of the Cougar program, junior Steven Hunt is a multi-talented athlete who has competed in nearly every type of event from throws to distance races and now the sprints .
2008 (sophomore): As a 2008 sophomore, opted to concentrate on the sprints, and posted personal bests of 12.19 (100 meters) and 52.19 (200 meters) Did not compete in the in the GSAC Championship Meet.
2007 (freshman): As a 2007 freshman, tried his hand at the decathlon, scoring a personal-best of 4,570 Did not compete in the GSAC Championship Meet in Fresno.
CROSS COUNTRY: Ran 1 season of cross country at Azusa Pacific, clocking an 8K best of 32:05 through 2 races of the 2006 season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a 3-sport standout at Western Christian High in Covina, Calif. Was an all-league honoree in soccer, cross country and track & field As a freshman, was a key member of the Lancers league championship cross country team As a junior set the school record in cross country As a senior, won the league title in the 400 meters after finishing second the year before Served on ASB and as the class chaplain.
PERSONAL: Born Dec. 25, 1987, in Glendora, Calif. Parents are Steve (contractor) and Denice (para-legal) Hunt Has 1 brother (Brad) and a sister (Danielle) Majoring in business with a minor in psychology Would like to go into sports marketing.
