THIS YEAR: Senior Evan Scott returns to track & field after taking off the 2007 campaign … Hopes to press for All-GSAC recognition in the hammer, discus or shot.

2006: As a 2006 junior was the GSAC champion in the hammer with a throw of 149’ 3” … At the same meet also finished sixth in the shot put (38’ 9”) … Posted career bests of 43’ 3Ύ in the shot put and 159’ 1” in the hammer throw at the Pomona Invitational.

2005: As a 2005 sophomore, competed in the GSAC Championship Meet where he finished fourth in the hammer (140’ 9”) and discus (136’ 2”) and sixth in the shot (39’ 5Ύ”) … Also tried his hand in the javelin and recorded a personal-record throw of 163’ 5” in a meet at Point Loma Nazarene University.

2004: As a freshman at the GSAC Championships in Fresno, finished fifth in the hammer (career-best 139’ 10”) and seventh in the discus (126’ 8”) … Fouled out in the shot … Recorded a season-best of 45’ 7Ό” in the shot at the Pomona Invitational.

FOOTBALL: Was a 2-year member of Azusa Pacific’s nationally-ranked football team, redshirtting the 2002 seasons before moving into the 2-deep along the Cougar offensive front in 2003 … Appeared in several games in a reserve role for the 8-2 Cougars who advanced to the NAIA playoffs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in 3 sports at Cajon High in San Bernardino, Calif. … Competed in track & field over his final 2 years, posting career bests of 49’ 1Ό” in the shot and 142’ 3” in the discus during his 2002 senior season … Also played 3 seasons of football (lineman) and 3 seasons of soccer (forward).

PERSONAL: Born March 20, 1984, in Fullerton, Calif., to Richard (lawyer) and Patty (real estate agent) Scott … Has 3 sisters (Jill, Janice, Jenifer) and a brother (Stephen) … Majoring in in business.
