Michelle Cole is entering her first season as a member of the Azusa Pacific women's volleyball coaching staff. Cole, who has been the director of the Elite Volleyball Club since 2011, is making her second collegiate coaching stop after spending two years at Occidental College in Eagle Rock, Calif., where she headed the program in her second season in 2006.
A four-year starter at Texas A&M, Cole helped the Aggies become a dominant force in the NCAA Division I landscape while earning All-Big 12 recognition. As a 2001 senior she ranked 11th in Division I with a conference-leading 4.26 digs per game, and is one of six Aggies to record more than 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She was a member of both of A&M's Elite Eight teams, leading the Aggies to their deepest tournament runs in 1999 and 2001. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2002 with a bachelor's in agricultural development.
Following her collegiate career Cole played professionally in Spain for Caja de Avilla. She currently resides in Pasadena, and enjoys traveling and karaoke.
