AZUSA, Calif.-- As part of the national breast cancer awareness month Azusa Pacific fans will be encouraged to wear pink at Saturday’s Pacific West Conference volleyball match against Point Loma.

Azusa Pacific, which hasn’t played at home since an Oct. 12 sweep of Dixie State, will take on a Point Loma team that sits atop the PacWest standings (12-1), and is 9-1 in its last 10 matches.

Fans can help raise awareness for breast cancer by ‘pinking-out’ the Felix Event Center, and can donate to breast cancer research near the front entrance of the arena. The Zu (Azusa Pacific’s student section) will be raffling off a $100 gift card for Azusa Pacific’s Computer Store, with all proceeds for the $2 tickets benefiting the American Cancer Society. Fans can purchase raffle tickets at the match.

The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) is a collaboration of national public service organizations, professional medical associations, and government agencies working together to promote breast cancer awareness, share information on the disease, and provide greater access to services.
