AZUSA, Calif.-- The Azusa Pacific women’s volleyball team received an at-large berth to the National Christian College Athletics Association national championships. The Cougars, who finished the Pacific West Conference season in fifth place (13-7, 21-10 overall) before falling 3-2 to Point Loma in the NCCAA West Region final, will be the No. 3 seed when the tournament kicks off on Dec. 5 in Kissimmee, Fla.
Azusa Pacific will be joined by fellow PacWest opponent Point Loma, which clinched the region’s automatic bid with a win over the Cougars on Friday night.
The 10-team tournament will feature two pools consisting of five teams each, with the top-two finishers from each pool advancing to the national semifinals. The final tournament schedule and seedings will be announced later this week.
