GSAC Awards 2 Cougars

AZUSA, Cailf. -- Setter Allison Kincheloe and libero Brittany Brown were both named GSAC Players of the Week at their respective positions for the week ending Oct. 9.
The Cougars split their 2 matches last week falling to No. 3 California Baptist before knocking off Westmont, 3-1, this past Saturday.
For Kincheloe it was her second such honor of the season as she was also named GSAC Setter of the Week on Sept. 12. She tallied 105 assists, an average of 15 per game, and 21 digs in the 2 matches. In the win at Westmont, Kincheloe was 3 short of a career-high with 69 assists. She also had 12 digs against the Warriors.
Brown had 38 digs, an average of 5.4 digs per game, last week in earning GSAC Libero of the Week for the first time in her career. Additionally for her efforts, Brown was named Region II Libero of the Week. She had 11 digs against No. 3-ranked California Baptist. Then in the win over Westmont, Brown had 27 digs without any pass reception errors.
Kincheloe, Brown, and the rest of the Cougars will be back in action when they host La Verne in a non-conference match on Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Felix Event Center at 7 p.m.
