Christine R. Guzman, MSW, LCSW, is an assistant professor in the Department of Social Work at Azusa Pacific University. Prior to coming to Azusa Pacific, Guzman worked in community mental health in clinical and administrative roles for nine years where she specialized in treating major mental illnesses. She trained and supervised social workers, and developed a training curriculum for master of social work interns. While a graduate student at the University of Denver, Guzman earned a Latino Scholarship from the National Institute of Mental Health. She is a licensed clinical social worker and maintains a private practice. She also serves as consultant for various local agencies and churches.
