Kimberly Battle-Walters Denu, Ph.D., is a Fulbright alumna to South Africa. She has published works in the areas of African-American issues, women and family matters, welfare reform, and international relations. Battle-Walters Denu, an ordained minister, continues to speak and do ministry in the greater Los Angeles area, as well as participate in ongoing ministry throughout the world.
With degrees in both sociology and social work, her teaching areas include ethics, family research, and leadership. In addition, Battle-Walters Denu continues to teach for Azusa Pacific University’s Global Leadership Program, which allows her the opportunity to teach and train leaders who are working on graduate degrees throughout the world. In addition to her professorship in the Department of Social Work, she is also currently serving as a special assistant to the president and vice provost for undergraduate programs.
