Karen Maynard, assistant professor, is the director of student services in the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program at Azusa Pacific University. Her responsibilities include recruitment, assistance with program application and admission processes, academic advising, program development, and assuring program compliance with accreditation requirements. Along with more than twelve years’ experience in social work higher education, Maynard has also worked in financial and consulting organizations. She is especially committed to working with first generation college students and their families to enhance their preparation for successful academic experiences.
