Maureen Houtz, M.A., MFT, has been a licensed marriage and family therapist since 1986. Her clinical expertise includes employee assistance work, family therapy, and working with teens and individuals. After being in private practice for more than 20 years, she moved to being the director of a church-affiliated counseling center in Ventura, where she oversees seven therapists. She has taught at APU since early 2012 and was recently named the clinical placement director for the Ventura County graduate psychology program.
