Profile
Olivia Sevilla, MSW, LCSW, brings valuable practice experience to the program, including long-term executive directorship (since 1988) of Bilingual Family Counseling Services, an agency considered at the forefront of community leadership and training in areas such as multicultural services, school interventions, gang diversion, and child/family therapy. For ten years, she also worked as a consultant and trainer for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools on topics related to therapeutic and counseling interventions. Sevilla has also taught for several years in both MFT and community college programs. Courses taught include: Introduction to Social Work, Counseling the Elderly Adult, Dying, Death and Bereavement, and practicum courses for MFT and Psy.D. candidates. In addition, she has been closely involved with a number of community-agency collaborations, provided leadership on agency boards, and engaged in extensive grant writing.
