Profile
Susan Larsen, Ph.D., associate professor, has been a full-time faculty member in the Human Services Department at California State University-Fullerton since 1997 and has taught as an adjunct professor in Chapman University’s Sociology Department. Her scholarship has included co-authorship of books describing the interdisciplinary relationship of sociology and social work and clinical fundamentals and application from social work and counseling perspectives. She has also published on the topic of practice with Vietnamese families, and made professional presentations on subjects including child abuse and neglect, family violence, and developmental disabilities. Her professional practice experience includes social work positions in child welfare, foster care, psychiatric care, gang diversion, and group home behavior modification with a population of adults with developmental disabilities.
