Stephanie Miyake is an assistant professor in the Department of Graduate Psychology and currently serves as the Associate Director/Director of Operations of the Community Counseling Centers (CCC) & Pediatric Neurodevelopment Institute (PNI), the clinics affiliated with Graduate Psychology and supported by APU to train graduate students. Since coming to APU in 1999 and regardless of her role, she has continued to focus on the education and training of competent, ethical, and well-grounded clinical psychologists and marriage and family therapists. Miyake has served as PsyD Program Administrator, Director of the MA in Clinical Psychology, and MA Clinical Training Director; and she is the resident editor of dissertations and anything else needing those services. Although she misses the student contact that comes with teaching and directing a program, she is enthusiastic about the opportunity to pioneer the new PNI. Miyake splits her time between Corinth, TX and APU and is a licensed MFT in both Texas and California.
