Veronica I. Olvera, Psy.D., is a graduate of the Psy.D. program at Azusa Pacific University (APU). While at APU, Dr. Olvera focused her externship experience on serving the multicultural and bilingual population. She passed her Clinical Competency Exam with distinction and went on to complete an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles (MDC LA). At MDC LA, Dr. Olvera conducted forensic neuropsychological evaluations on pre-trial inmates. Subsequently, she completed an APA post-doctoral training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where she specialized in Clinical Neuropsychology. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Graduate Psychology. In addition to teaching in the master's and doctoral programs, she provides assessment supervision at APU’s Pediatric Neurodevelopment Institute (PNI), serves as mentor to students, and is a committee member on several dissertations. Her research involvement is in the areas of neuropsychological dysfunction spanning all age groups and on diversity.
