Wendi Dykes joined the Department of Leadership and Organizational Psychology in 2014 and became the inaugural director of the Master of Science in Organizational Psychology, a program that graduates scholar-practitioners who strive to foster flourishing in the workplace. She began her APU faculty tenure in 2007 with the Department of Communication Studies, where she spent seven years teaching courses in organizational communication, public relations, presentational speaking, and conflict management. Blending her education with more than 16 years of professional experience in human resources, she finds passion in educating and mentoring students. She spent 11 years in human resources with LEGOLAND California, where she was awarded international honors for her training programs and organizational development strategies. In addition to LEGO, Dykes has held positions with Disney and the University of California, San Diego.
