The Department of Social Work offers the following programs:

Master’s Degrees

The Master of Social Work program offers concentration courses that allow students to specialize in a selected area of social work practice. The MSW degree is considered the most appropriate academic credential for advanced social work practice and is a requirement for professional licensure in most states. *Those with Advanced Standing may complete the program with fewer units (36) and in a shorter timeframe (9 months).

Bachelor’s Degrees

Social Work Major
The social work major prepares students with knowledge, values, and skills for generalist social work professional practice in work with diverse individuals, families, groups, and communities, both locally and globally.
