Funny to think about that time so long ago. A friend that was going to Cal Baptist drove me down from Vacaville the day before. Somehow we ended up almost to Palm Desert because he insisted he was going the right way! We finally arrived in his blue pickup truck, unloaded into Adams 252 and he was on his way. That was an exciting day and still makes me smile. :)

I guess my first thought would be why it's not "move-in day" ... but that's another matter. I don't remember a lot of my move-in day because I drove eight hours from Chico a few days before school on my own. I also moved into Pac Glen (as it was know then), so there wasn't the usual hubbub of other freshmen and SOL's. I just put my stuff in one of the bedrooms and then went to the store. I had no idea how to shop for groceries, so I came back with very few essentials. I think I only got grapes, nectarines, and some Peanut M&M's.
