Chapel

It is 9:08 am, i have 22 minutes to get over to west campus for Community Chapel, which has just started last year and it is when the whole school has to come to west campus for chapel. 9:09 and I still can’t wake up all the way, most likely due to my event going into the late night hours last night, we played Apples to Apples! Such a blast, I’ll be sure to get the pictures up soon.

9:10, I still have not moved from my seat. I’m starting to think I type slow. Community chapel, though a bother to go to West Campus instead of across the street, to me is an AMAZING idea, I mean think about it, how many schools all congregate together EVER let alone once a week? Not many. Chapel is the crux of why our community is so strong here at APU. We all get to come together and worship and praise the Lord together and then we get to hear different messages that the Lord is putting on our leaders hearts. Of course its a bother sometimes, but everything that is ever scheduled over once a week is something that is a bother at one time or another, however, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ok, there goes my iPhone telling me to get up and go because its 9:15! YIKES!

I love the doughnuts & juice served after Community Chapel on Fridays. Yum!!

As an APU staff member, work often prevents me from attending chapel in person… but I love to download it and watch on my iPod. Did you know APU archives chapel on iTunes?

I have watched one or two of those, but mostly to show people certain points that a speaker made. I especially like how they have it set up on the new Home.apu.edu portal at the bottom right of your personal space when you log in. All your chapel information in one place, its great.

I love being able to watch chapel, either morning or kaleo on there. I actually have a few on my iphone, so if I ever need reminding of what stirred in my heart I can watch it on the go! Plus it is fun to download the Christmas and other crazy chapels just for laughs!

Sitting around the glowing logs of a mighty camp fire, surrounded with a tad bit over 100 others under the star lit sky, I listened to my president who spoke the words of the Lord and asked us three questions. Who am I? What is my purpose? What difference does it make? I am a precious child of God sent here to use my light and gifts to show the path and help the stray find their way to the golden gates. If you want to know the difference it makes, wear a blindfold for a few days then take it off, only then can you grasp the concept of what I was sent to do.
