Getting Past It

Kevin Mannoia Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

As you slowly overtake the truck in the right lane, you keep glancing in your rear view mirror.  Before you change lanes back into the right lane, you want to be sure you have truly passed the slower vehicle.  So you keep checking.  Too quick and you might just bump the truck and cause serious damage. If you assume you’re past the obstacle without confirming, a disaster may result. Growing in your spiritual life is no different.  Most folks assume that once they decide to break a habit, let go of an attitude, or change a behavior they will automatically be okay.  But unless you put it in your past and with the help of the Holy Spirit truly put it to rest, it can become a hazard and trip you up. God is certainly calling you forward.  But He also gives the Holy Spirit to help you overtake and put to rest obstacles once and for all.  That way they won’t become hindrances when you least expect it.

If you have any prayer requests, please let me know and our Prayer Partners will be praying for you.

Blessings on you,
Kevin
