I definitely agree with you! I apologize for the confusion on my blog. I tried to humorously make the joke that God caused my friend and me to be attacked, for I definitely don't think the Lord causes bad things to happen to us! On the contrary, I believe we weren't injured because He protected us. I love your comment about shaping our minds around what God sees as important! That is where true peace and perspective can begin, I think. Thanks for reading!

Although the Bible does say that God "allows" things to happen, it is incorrect to think that he "causes" bad things to happen. However, it is so true that he is amazing and can get us through the most difficult situations. Isn't it really our mindset though? If we shape our thinking around what God sees as important, wouldn't that help us determine what is to be worried about or overly concerned about? I love what you said about feeling that may be teaching you "how to live a more balanced life". This is such a great way to sort out all of the complicated stuff that life throws at us. The Bible helps through Paul's letter to Timothy where he states that "having sustenance and covering, we shall be content with these things".
1Timothy 6:8)

Very positive and very true post that is equally encouraging to live a balanced life!
